Good news!

Rachel got to participate in the state Geography Bee on April 4th. She did very well and hopes to go again next year. Her D.A.R.E essay was chosen for her class to be read at the graduation ceremony. (She definitely got her dad's gift for writing!)

Happy Birthday Gracie Jane

Our youngest, Gracie Jane, celebrated her first birthday today. It has been one crazy year to get to her first birthday starting with two weeks in the NICU right after birth learning how to breathe and cranial reconstructive surgery at three months. She has been having monthly follow-up visits with the surgeon in Salt Lake City since last July.

Today she is healthy, strong and well and she celebrated her first year of life by going after her birthday cake with reckless abandon. After feeding her own face (and toes, legs, belly and head) she even decided to share with her sister Rachel.

Her favorite gift was, without a doubt, the sweet Dora the Explorer wheels.

Short family trip

Hello! We spent the last few days enjoying our family. We went up to Park City and took some pictures. It was already sooo cold! We also let the kids swim at the hotel, went to an IMAX film about prehistoric deep sea creatures and did a little shopping. Of course the real purpose of the trip was to have a check-up for Gracie. She is doing well! Here are a few pictures!
